Jason Mraz is an artist who has always spoken to both of us in some way. There is hardly a performance of ours without his song 'I'm Yours', but we also always enjoyed playing 'Lucky' or 'Love Someone'. (We recorded the latter for a road trip video)
But one song has a very special place in our hearts and that is 'I Won't Give Up'. Somehow it creates an emotion that I would call 'positive-resilient melancholy'. The message of 'I won't give up' is packaged in such a gentle way that it goes much deeper than any loud motivational speech.
That's why it was always clear that we had to record this song. Looking back, we took our time with it, but we're all the happier with the result. But see for yourself:
